    S1 E1 Part one of two. In 1991, teenagers Vicky Hamilton and Dinah McNicol disappeared without a trace within a few months of each other in different parts of the UK. Fifteen years later, the murder of 23-year-old Angelika Kluk in Glasgow revealed a link between all three cases. After an exhaustive hunt, employing the-then latest DNA technology Peter Tobin was sentenced to life imprisonment for the three murders.

This covert investigation aimed to uncover whether he may be connected to other crimes. Detective Superintendent David Swindle, who led the initiative, recalls the shock of discovering that Tobin lived in Bathgate in 1991 and that his house was only a few miles from where Vicky Hamilton had last been seen. With Tobin in jail and refusing to answer any questions about his life, the police began to search his old home in Bathgate and then a house in Margate, Kent.
